VETS FOR VETS MISSION
To provide a free, confidential non-governmental setting in which veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan are provided an opportunity to share, one-to-one, with veterans of previous wars about their experiences in the military and upon their return;
To provide a safe environment that will encourage and foster emotional support for family members and loved ones of military personnel both on active duty, those that have returned, as well as those who have paid with their lives;
To increase awareness within the community about the needs of homecoming veterans and ways that individuals, community organizations, religious institutions, etc. can better honor and nurture our returning men and women of the service.
To acknowledge and dignify the difficulty that inherently exists in being a returning warrior.

The mission of VCS is to provide hope and promote social justice for individuals, families and communities through counseling, and community change. VCS employs a unique combination of professional staff, trained volunteers and collaborative partnerships to create innovative responses to pressing social needs and issues.
